Third calendar year individual that retains its second winter plumage and does not yet shown significant signs of moult to third summer (third cycle) body moult except for replaced mantle, upper scapulars and perhaps two or three coverts.
The grey upperparts were similarly toned to adjacent adult Steppe Gulls.
